XAT 2023 Tentative Score
Aspirants who appeared in the Xavier Aptitude Test 2023 to get admission for MBA/PGDM programme will be aware of the fact that there was an Objective and Descriptive Test, in 1st one, a total number of 100 MCQs were asked from four different sections:
- Verbal & Logical Ability
- Decision Making
- Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
- General Knowledge
Candidates need to know that each question had a weightage 1 mark and there was also a provision of negative, for every single incorrect response 0.25 mark will be deducted, excluding the ‘General Knowledge’ section.
Note: If the number of incorrect responses will be equal to 8 or more then a 0.5 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
To evaluate the tentative score you need to use the following formula in a certain case.
When the number of incorrect responses is between 0 to 7.
- Tentative Score = 1 × No. Of Correct Responses in all 4 Sections – 0.25 × No. Of Incorrect Responses in 3 Sections excluding ‘General Knowledge’.
Note: If the number of incorrect responses will be between 8 to 100, you need to multiply it with 0.5 and subtract it from the sum of correct responses.
