World Hindi Day History
On January 10, 1975, the first world hindi conference was organised in Nagpur by the Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, the chief guest of the event was Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, the Prime Minister of Mauritius, not only he but other 122 delegates from 30 different countries participated in this event. In remembrance of this for the first time World Hindi Day was celebrated on January 10, 2006 and since then this day is celebrated on January 10 all over the world.
