UGC NET 2023 Notification for has been officially released by the National Testing Agency on December 29, 2022. Candidates who want to appear in the National Eligibility Test 2023 for any of 83 Subjects can apply online by visiting https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/ from December 29, 2022 to January 17, 2023.
Aspirants who were eagerly waiting for the release of the UGC NET Notification 2023 are informed that registration will last till January 17, 2023 by 05:00 pm. The National Testing Agency has already announced the UGC NET 2023 Exam Date. Exam will take place in Computer Based Test mode from February 23 to March 10, 2023. Aspirants who registered themselves to appear in the exam will be able to download the UGC NET 2023 Admit Card from the third week of February 2023.

The National Testing Agency has already activated an online window on the official website UGC National Eligibility Test on December 29, 2022 for NTA UGC NET Registration 2023. Only those aspirants will be able to apply online, who have all required documents. Candidates who know that UGC National Eligibility Test is conducted by the National Testing Agency to determine the eligibility of aspirants for the post of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Assistant Professor to teach Indian Universities or Colleges.
UGC NET 2023 Exam Date
The National Testing Agency has officially announced the UGC NET Exam Date 2023 for December 2022 Session. Candidates must know that the exam for Paper I and II will take place from February 23 to March 10, 2023 across the Nation through the Computer Based Test with an exam time duration of 180 minutes for all 83 subjects.
Note: There will be a total number 150 objective questions in NTA UGC NET 2023, out of total, 50 will be from Paper I (General Awareness) and remaining 100 from Paper II (Concerned Subject). There will be no negative marking system, for each correct response appearing candidates will get 2 marks only. Language of the question paper will be Hindi and English.
UGC NET 2023 Eligibility Crite
Eligibility Criteria for UGC National Eligibility Test 2023 in terms of Educational Qualification and Age Limit is available below.
- Educational Qualification – An aspirant must hold a postgraduate degree in any of 83 subjects from a recognised university.
- Age Limit – There is no upper or lower age limit cap for the post of Assistant Professor, aspirants who are going to appear in the UGC NET 2023 Junior Reserve Fellow, must know that he/she must be above 31 years.
Note: Candidates who are in their final year of PG degree can also register, in order to get detailed information subject to it please checkout the official notification.

UGC NET 2023 Application Fee
To register for the UGC National Eligibility Test 2023 for December 2022 Session you have to pay a certain amount at the time of submission of online Application Form.
- General: ₹1,100/-
- OBC: ₹550/-
- SC/ST/PwD: ₹275/-
Aspirants will be able to pay Application Fee using any online payment method such as Debit Card, Credit Card, NET Banking or UPI.
Steps to do the NTA UGC NET Registration 2023:
1). Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency, https://nta.nic.in/.
2). Go to the header-menu bar, find an option of the UGC NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST under the section of Students and tap on it.
3). Now, an option of UGC NET 2023 (December 2022 Session) Registration will before you, hit on this option.
4). You will be asked to enter required details, upload mandatory documents’s scan copy, pay application fee and complete the registration procedure.
