The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CHSL notification for the 2024 Combined Higher Secondary Secondary Level Examination for recruitment to the 3712 Group C posts.
The eligible candidates can apply for the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant, Data Entry Operator, and Grade A Date Entry Operator for various Ministries/ offices of the Government of India, etc.
The application window is already open for interested candidates and it will open till 7 May 2024. The candidates can register for the SSC CHSL examinations on the official website of SSC.
The candidates will be selected based on their performance in Tier I and Tier II examinations.

Pay Scale for SSC CHSL Recruitment 2024
The Commission has invited applications for the SSC CHSL recruitment for the approximately 3712 vacant seats on Group C posts. The Commission will disclose the exact number of vacancies and their distribution according to the categories soon.
However, the Commission has released information on the Pay-scale matrix of the vacant posts. Here’s the pay-scale candidates can expect for Group C posts:

Eligibility SSC CHSL Notification 2024
The candidates can check their eligibility for the SSC CHSL Recruitment 2024 from the following eligibility criteria:
Citizenship:
- The applicant must be a citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan.
- The applicant can be a person of Indian origin who migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African Countries, and Vietnam.
Age Limit:
- Candidates of the age group 18-27 years can apply for the SSC CHSL examinations 2024.
- The age relaxation in the upper age limit for reserve categories is applicable based on guidelines of the Government of India.
Education Qualification:
For (DEO)/ (DEO) Grade A in the Ministry of Culture, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Consumer Affairs:
- The candidates must pass the Class 12 examinations in the Science stream with Mathematics from the recognized board or equivalent course.
For LDC/JSA and DEO/ DEO Grade A for other Departments and ministries:
- The candidates must clear the Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution.
Application Fee for SSC CHSL Recruitment 2024
The application fee for the 2024 SSC CHSL examinations registration is Rs 100/- for all the candidates except the following:
- The Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST, PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities), and Ex-servicemen do not have to pay the application fee as the Commission has kept the application free of cost for these candidates.
The candidates who are entitled to pay the fee must pay the application fee by 8 May 2024 at 11:00 PM.
Steps to apply for the SSC CHSL Examinations 2024
The application procedure for the SSC CHSL examinations 2024 is designed to capture the photograph of the candidates, so you must ensure your camera is working properly and you are not wearing caps or spectacles.
Eligible candidates can apply for the 2024 SSC CHSL recruitment in the following steps:
- Go to the official website of SSC mentioned above.
- Now, generate the One-Time Registration (OTR) and proceed to fill out the application form.
- Next, go to the Quick Links section and click on “Apply” for CHSL examinations.
- Now, Log in with your User name and password on the SSC website.
- Some of your details will be filled in from your OTR data.
- Next, you must fill out your details and academic details on the SSC CHSL examinations 2024.
- Next, upload your photograph and signature and all the required documents.
- Review all the filled details of the application form and tick on the “I agree” declaration for all the information.
- Next, move to the payment section and pay the application for the 2024 SSC CHSL.
- Your application will be successful after the payment, so you must pay the application before the due date.
