Out of total 31 SOSEs, 12 are for STEM, 7 for Humanities, 7 for High-End 21st Century Skills, 4 for Performing and Visual Arts, and 1 for Armed Forces Preparation, admission in all these for Class 9 will take place on the basis of candidates performance in Aptitude Test and Interview, those who will qualify for the first stage will be called for the Interview, date for which is not yet disclosed by the Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE).

It is estimated that Project and Interview for High-End 21st Century Skills and other four domain schools, respectively, may be held in April 2023 and after which the final selection list of students for admission into SOSEs will be released officially by Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi.
