Various stories are prevalent regarding Sakat Chauth, in one of which there is Lord Shankar and Mata Parvati, we have shared this story with you in simple words.

According to religious beliefs, there is a story behind fasting on Sakat Chauth, it is believed that one day when mother Parvati was going to  to take a bath, she made her son ‘Lord Ganesha’ stand outside the house so that no one could enter in the roon. While she was taking bath, meanwhile Lord Shiva comes to meet Parvati Ji, then Lord Ganesha stops him from entering, due to which Shiva feels insulted and he strikes with Trishul and beheads Lord Ganesha.

When there was a lot of noise after Ganesha’s head was severed, Parvati ji came out of her room and started crying loudly after seeing this scene, and started praying to Shiv ji to bring back Ganesha’s life and the Lord Shiva attached an elephant’s head to Ganesha and gave him back a new life.

That’s why women observe fast on this day so that there is never any problem in the life of their children and they stay away from all kinds of problems.
