Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission had conducted the written examination in online mode, a total number of 120 objective questions of 150 marks were asked from the following 14 sections.

1. Current events of National and International importance
2. History of India and Indian National Movement
3. Indian and World Geography- Physical, Social and Economic
4. Indian Polity and Governance- Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues etc.
5. J&K Reorganisation Act, 2019 and Removal of difficulties Order/Adaptation Orders issued thereunder.
6. Economic and Social Development- Sustainable Development Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
7. General issues on Environmental ecology, Biodiversity and Climate Change
8. General English
9. Interpersonal skills including communication skills

11. Basics of Computer and its usages- various facets of Computer Hardware, Software, Internet and their usage.

Candidates have a total time duration of 02 hours to touch the maximum number of questions, each question carries a weightage 1¼ marks, as there is a negative marking system, for each incorrect response ¼ mark will be deducted.

To evaluate the tentative score, firstly, candidates need to add 1¼ and ¼ mark for every single correct and incorrect response, and the subject sum of incorrect responses from corrects.
