IRS Assistance Centers
Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) are established by the IRS to help individuals with taxation. To visit here, you don’t have to make an appointment, you can directly visit here on March 11, 2023 between 09:00 am and 04:00 pm to know the solution or your problem related to filing returns or taxes. If you have e-filed for tax refund and have not received your refund even after more than 21 days have passed, you must visit the nearest TAC on March 11 to inquire about it.
Although TACs are usually closed on Saturdays, on special Saturdays, they are opened to help the taxpayer on a date set by the IRS. This year the dates of Special Saturdays are 11 February, 11 March, 8 April and 13 May. Any person who is facing any problem related to taxation can visit any of the nearest IRS ASSISTANCE CENTERS on any of these four dates between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and get a solution to his/her problem.

In each state of the United States there are multiple Taxpayer Assistance Centers, the Internal Revenue Service has launched a web-based portal, using which you can find out about the nearest TACs. To know the name and address of your nearest TAC you have to provide details about our resident.
The step-by-step instructions below will lead you to know the name and address of your nearest Taxpayer Assistance Centers.
- Go to the official website of the Internal Revenue Service, which can be accessed only at irs.gov/.
- Find an option of the Taxpayer Assistance Center Locator under the section of the Tools & Applications and tap on it.
- Post tapping on the above mentioned, you will find an option of the Find a Taxpayer Assistance Center Office, tap on it.
- Now, you have two options: Search By Address and Search By State, tap on the second one.
- Choose the name of your State from the drop-down menu and tap on the Search button.
- After tapping on the above mentioned option, you have a list of all TACs in your State, tap on the DIRECTIONS button to reach the respective TAC.
Once you have followed the step-by-step instructions carefully, you will successfully find out about the nearest TACS.
Who can visit Taxpayer Assistance Centers?
Anyone who have any issues subject taxation such as taxes or returns filing, etc, can visit the nearest Taxpayer Assistance Centers on 11 March 2023, for which an individual need not take an appointment, he/she can visit nearest TAC between the working hour to get solution of their problems, before departing for any TAC office you must know that you have to carry the following documents:
- Photo Identity Card issued by the federal government of the US.
- Social Security cards or ITINs of all family members and dependents.
- Internal Revenue Service letter or notice. (If any received).
- Two identification forms, tax return copy.
At the Taxpayer Assistance Center, you may also be asked to show the current mailing address and proof of bank account.
If you are going to visit Taxpayer Assistance Center to get information regarding tax returns, you must know that one receive his/her Direct Deposit within no more than 3 weeks after filing for return electronically, if you choose the Check to get refund, then it takes maximum 4 weeks, those who have claimed CTC along with their refund will start getting their refund after 15th March 2023.
