CTET Eligibility Criteria 2022

  • To qualify as a first-stage teacher, candidates must have at least a 50 % overall score on their 10+2 exam.
  • To be eligible for employment as a secondary teacher, candidates must have completed their undergraduate degree with at least a 50 percent overall score or their 10+2 exam with at least a 50 percent overall score from a recognised university.
  • The qualifying scores for applicants from reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled, will be relaxed by up to 5%.
  • Provisional admission is granted to applicants enrolled in their last year of a bachelor’s degree programme in education, a diploma programme in elementary education, etc. Their certificate will only be valid if they pass the abovementioned exams before the exam results are announced.

CTET Exam Pattern 2022

Two papers will be included in the CTET Exam:

  • Paper-I is for a candidate for the teacher of grades I through V.
  • Paper-II is intended for those who want to teach grades VI through VIII.
  • Anyone planning to teach at both levels (classes I through V and VI through VIII) must appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).
